Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando "A Hidden Gem Near Disney Springs"
If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World and looking for a hotel that combines location, comfort, modern amenities, and exceptional value, Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando (Disney Springs Area) deserves a spot at the top of your list.
We recently had the opportunity to visit this hotel, and one of the first things that impressed us was its fantastic location. The hotel is an Official Walt Disney World Hotel and sits only about half a mile from Disney Springs, while Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are approximately five miles away.
Close to the Magic Without the Hassle
One of the biggest advantages of staying here is transportation. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to all four Walt Disney World theme parks Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom making it much easier to enjoy a full Disney day without worrying about driving and parking.
For many Disney travelers, that convenience alone can make a huge difference.
Breakfast, Dinner… and Free Popcorn!
This is where the Drury Plaza Hotel really surprised us.
Guests can start their morning with a complimentary hot breakfast, including options such as eggs, sausage, fruit, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and more.
Then comes one of our favorite perks: the hotel's 5:30 Kickback. Every evening, guests can enjoy complimentary hot food and cold beverages, with a rotating menu. It can be a significant money-saver, especially for families spending several days in Orlando. And yes… free popcorn! 🍿
Every day from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, guests can stop by the second-floor Commons for complimentary freshly popped popcorn and soda. It’s a small touch, but after spending hours walking through the parks, free popcorn suddenly feels like a five-star amenity.
Modern, Spacious and Comfortable
The hotel itself feels modern, bright, comfortable, and family-friendly. We were particularly impressed by the size of the rooms. They feel spacious and practical, with amenities including a refrigerator, microwave, TV, in-room safe, and free Wi-Fi.
There’s also plenty to enjoy without leaving the property: a resort-style saltwater pool, splash pad, 24-hour fitness center, arcade, restaurants and bars, business center, and an on-site Market Place where you can pick up food, drinks, gifts, and essentials.
Another major plus? There is no resort fee.

And because we’re always looking for places that make a Florida trip easier, more enjoyable, and more memorable, this one definitely caught our attention.
Would we stay here for a Disney vacation? Absolutely.
