Is staying at Universal Helios Grand Hotel actually worth it?

After experiencing it myself, I’d say yes but it really depends on what you’re looking for.

The biggest PRO is impossible to beat: you’re basically staying inside Epic Universe. Having a dedicated entrance to the park makes everything incredibly convenient, especially if you want to take a break during the day and come back later. Hotel guests also get Early Park Admission on eligible dates and attractions.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The views over Epic Universe are probably one of my favorite parts of the experience, especially from the park view rooms and Bar Helios. The pool, restaurants and overall atmosphere definitely make it feel like more than just a place to sleep.

But here’s the honest part: Helios can be expensive, particularly if you want one of those spectacular park-view rooms. And something you should know before booking: staying here doesn’t include Universal Express Unlimited.

Another thing to consider is location. Helios is PERFECT if Epic Universe is the main focus of your trip, but if you’re planning to spend most of your vacation at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk, other Universal hotels may be more convenient. Transportation to those areas is available by complimentary shuttle.

My recommendation? If Epic Universe is the star of your vacation and your budget allows it, I think staying at Helios especially with a park view is an experience worth doing at least once. Waking up and seeing Epic Universe outside your window is pretty hard to beat.
